Postdoc in RLE
Executive Director, Tata-MIT GridEdge Solar
Joel Jean joined ONE Lab in August 2011 as a Ph.D. candidate in Electrical Engineering. Joel received from B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University in 2011. At Stanford, he worked on a new solar energy conversion technique called photon-enhanced thermionic emission (PETE), developing a Monte Carlo simulation of electron transport and photoemission in semiconductor nanostructures with Dr. Igor Bargatin and Prof. Roger Howe. Joel is a co-author of the MIT Future of Solar Energy Study.
