PhD Student in EECS
Melody Cao joined ONE Lab during the Fall of 2016 as a PhD student in Electrical Engineering. She received her B.S. in Engineering and B.A. in Physics from Smith College. During her time as an undergraduate, she worked as an research fellow with the optics group at the Advanced Photon Source at Argonne National Laboratory, conducted research at the University of California, Berkeley, in conjunction with Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, on x-ray crystallography techniques, and tested quantum electrodynamics in the lowest singlet state of neutral beryllium for her senior physics thesis at Smith College.
