Abstract:

High storage capacity memory cells were fabricated by integrating organic molecules, with dimension ∼1 nm, into flash memory devices. The stored
charge within the molecules was directly probed using Kelvin force
microscopy, revealing strong confinement of stored charge over time.
Molecular memories with increased storage capacity were achieved via
addition of dopant molecules.
