Mayuran Saravanapavanantham joined ONE Lab in January 2016 as a visiting undergraduate student from the University of Waterloo (Canada). At Waterloo, he is enrolled in the Nanotechnology Engineering program and aims to graduate in Spring 2017. Prior to joining the ONE Lab, he worked on colloidal synthesis and device fabrication from cadmium selenide nanoplatelets at Professor Ted Sargent's group at the University of Toronto, and membrane-type surface stress sensors at Professor Genki Yoshikawa's group at the National Instite for Materials Science in Japan.

Current Research: Developing low power electronic switches employing self-assembled monolayers and gold nanostructures.
Subgroup: Nanomechanics

Personal Interests: South Indian Classical Music (Carnatic), Board Games, Nanotechnology Outreach
