PhD Student in Mechanical Engineering
Ryan Zimmerman joined ONE Lab in March 2018 as a Ph.D. student in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. He graduated in June 2017 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech. His current research focuses on methods for fabricating flexible solar cells from crystalline silicon. Additionally, his work involves the design and development of mechanical systems which can be used to deploy flexible photovoltaics in the field.
Current Research: Design and development of flexible architectures for c-Si solar cells; systems for deployment of flexible PV modules
